Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Project Manager at the Duke -Ruhuna Collaborative Research Centre, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna

Post of Project Manager- Grade II (Contract basis/ Full Time) – 01 Post

Minimum qualifications required:

• A Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Agriculture or any other similar stream in Biosciences. 
• Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office package and commonly used modern software.
• Age: below 35 years.
• Prior experience in project management including managing administrative activities, financial activities, procurement procedure, purchasing equipment, and communicating with international research partners will be an added advantage.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Coordinating the activities between Duke University, USA and the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka.
• Managing administrative and financial activities (both national and foreign-funded grants as well as internal funds) under the Duke-Ruhuna Collaboration
• Coordinating the Duke-Ruhuna Master/ Elective/ PA students and medical residents exchange program and related activities
• Other related activities: Organizing events, reporting periodic progress, maintaining inventory of equipment/ supplies, and registration/ renewal of entities and support with the process of research regulatory approvals.

Remuneration:

• Starting at Rs. 82,400.00, with the potential for an increase over time based on performance.
