A compassionate act by the Duke-Ruhuna Office staff; alms to the Cancer Ward, Teaching Hospital Karapitiya.
Duke-Ruhuna office staff recently joined hands together to give alms to the Karapitiya Hospital Cancer Ward as a sincere act of empathy and community support. This admirable project sought to provide consolation and support to individuals facing cancer and strengthen ties and bonds of compassion among the staff members.
The Duke-Ruhuna office's dedication to social responsibility and understanding of the difficulties faced by persons receiving cancer treatment was demonstrated by the event, which happened on 18th February 2024. Under the guidance of Prof C.K. Bodinayake and Prof. Gayani Tillekeratne, the team put in a great deal of effort to make sure the event was a success, exemplifying the organization's general spirit of kindness. Not just the staff, but their family members also took part in this act of compassion.
This almsgiving event served as a reminder that even small acts of kindness can have a profound impact on the lives of those in need.
